Doing Race and Gender as ESEA Scholars

The conference on Doing Race and Gender as East and South-east Asian (ESEA) Scholars was successfully hosted at Hughes Hall on 13 September, collectively by six ESEA graduates from University of Warwick, Leeds, SOAS, and Cambridge, which brought together speakers from ESEA graduate academic communities and early-career researchers in the UK and EU who work, think, and reflect on gender and race during this age of uncertainties. The conference was not limited to a  keynote speech, academic presentation sessions, but also a roundtable discussion consisting of community activists and a creative body-mapping workshop to understand, theorise and disrupt racial and gender inequalities through reflections and resistance.

These are a collection of reflections from the conference.
